  Lovely atmosphere but the food is not really authentic Mexican at all. As someone who used to live on a US-Mexico border state and has really been missing Mexican food, I was excited to try this place after reading all the positive reviews. But I think they may have been written by folks who have never had authentic Mexican food. I started to get worried when I read "frijole beans" on the menu (frijoles means beans in Spanish, so this translates as "bean beans"), and my fears were confirmed when I got my meal: the burrito had been baked (traditionally you warm the tortilla in a pan), there were what appeared to be stewed tomatoes where there should have been salsa, and I didn't taste a smidge of cilantro anywhere. I'm guessing it's difficult to find Mexican ingredients in Australia, but I did see imported tortillas at the grocery store down the road, plus limes and salsa, so it seems as though there's the potential to do more here. With a little research (lots of good tips on preparing Mexican food online!) and creativity, this place could be so much better. (The sangria, however, was delicious!)

  Delicious food, great atmosphere. Limited alcohol on the menu but you can bring your own. Good meat and vegetarian options. Absolutely check it out if you're visiting magnetic island
